В 2021 г. в одной из торговых сетей г. Донецка было выявлено массовое поражение семян маша и нута четырехпятнистой зерновкой Callosobruchus maculatus (Fabricius, 1775) (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Bruchinae). Это первая документально подтвержденная находка данного вида на территории Донбасса. В лабораторном эксперименте при развитии личинок в семенах Vigna radiata (L.) R. Wilczek), V. unguiculata (L.) Walp., Cicer arietinum L. и Pisum sativum L. вид дал несколько последовательных генераций, завершившихся без воды, дополнительного питания взрослых особей и смены семян. Развитие личинок в семенах Phaseolus vulgaris L., Lens culinaris Medik. и Gymnocladus dioicus (L.) K. Koch не происходило.
In 2021, a mass infestation of mung bean and chickpeas seeds by the four-spotted bean weevil Callosobruchus maculatus (Fabricius, 1775) (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Bruchinae) was detected in one of the retail chains in Donetsk. It is the first documented finding of this species in Donbass. In the course of laboratory experiment, the species produced several successive generations that ended without water, additional feeding of adults, and change of seeds during the development of larvae in the seeds of Vigna radiata (L.) R. Wilczek), V. unguiculata (L.) Walp., Cicer arietinum L. and Pisum sativum L. Larval development was not observed in the seeds of Phaseolus vulgaris L., Lens culinaris Medik. and Gymnocladus dioicus (L.) K. Koch.
