Деятельность Донецкого ботанического сада направлена на решение актуальных проблем в области интродукции и селекции растений, изучения биоразнообразия в степной зоне и разработки научных основ его сохранения, промышленной ботаники, биологических инвазий в наземных и водных экосистемах. В 2022 г. коллектив Донецкого ботанического сада выполнял научные исследования по 4 темам. По результатам исследований учеными Донецкого ботанического сада опубликовано 95 научных работ, из которых 2 справочных пособия, 41 статья в научных журналах (из них в наукометрической базе Web of Sciences индексирована 1, Scopus — 8, РИНЦ — 34) и 49 — в сборниках материалов научных конференций.
The work of the Donetsk Botanical Garden is aimed at solving urgent problems in the field of plant introduction and selection, research on biodiversity in the steppe zone and the development of scientific foundations for its conservation, industrial botany, biological invasions in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. In 2022, the staff of the Donetsk Botanical Garden carried out scientific investigations in 4 directions. Based on the research results, scientists of the Donetsk Botanical Garden published 95 scientific publications, two reference guides among them, 41 articles are contributions to scientific journals (among them are those indexed in the Web of Sciences — 1, in Scopus — 8, in RSCI — 34), and 49 works are included in the proceedings of scientific conferences.
