Results on the history of the Artemivsk Arboretum establishment, its species structure, and condition of plantation
are cited. In 1967 the Artemivsk Arboretum was found. It has status of landscape reserve of local importance.
There are 59 introduced species of trees and shrubs in arboretum, beside that 11 ones are of adventive origin.

Aesculus hippocastanum L., Amelanchier alnifolia Nutt., Caragana arborescens Lam., Elaeagnus angustifolia L.,
Fraxinus pensylvanica Marsh., Gleditsia triacanthos L., Juglans nigra L., Morus alba L., Prunus cerasifera Ehrh.,
P. mahaleb L., P. tomentosa Thunb., Philadelphus coronarius L., Ph. inodorus L., Physocarpus opulifolius (L.)
Maxim., Quercus rubra L., Robinia pseudoacacia L., Sorbus intermedia (Ehrh.) Pers., Spiraea chamaedryfolia
L., S. japonica L., S. salicifolia L., Sophora japonica L., Symphoricarpos albus (L.) Blake, Tamarix tetrandra
Pall., Ulmus pumila L. Vitis amurensis Rupr., and cultivars Crataegus monogyna Jacq. Rosea Plena΄, Fraxinus
excelcior L. `Diversifolia΄, Robinia pseudoacacia L. Umbraculifera΄, Syringa vulgaris L. Capitaine Baltet΄,
Michel Buchner΄, `Mme Casimir Perier΄, Mme Lemoine΄, Taras Bulba΄ etc. are in the best state. They can be used
for expansion of assortment of the ornamental plants in the Ukrainian south-east.
