Peculiarities of Pb, Zn, Cd and Mo accumulation within the ‘soil – rootage — aboveground vegetative part’ system of Cichorium intybus L. have been studied on the plots in Artemovsky and Konstantinovsky districts of Donetsk region. Barrier and barrier- free mechanisms of heavy metals phytosorption have been revealed.
