This paper presents a survey of the proceedings of the Internatiobnal Scientific and practical conference «International Syringa 2018», dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the outstanding lilac breeder L.A. Ko- lesnikov. The research directions on species and varieties of the genus Syringa L. have been outlined by the presenters from 12 countries. Some excursion and education programs have been shown and the acknowledgements to conference organizing parties have been made.
