Comparative analysis of structure of the land areas (defined as biotopes) of natural nuclei and ecological corridors of the northern part of the Donetsk regional ecological network is given. It is shown that except for two northern districts — Krasny Lyman and Slavyansk, with a significant share of forest plant cover, the relative portion of steppe areas in other parts of the region is two thirds of their natural territories or 8.4% of the entire explored part of the Donetsk region.
